We provide 24-Hour Live-in Care. The use of a live in carer is increasingly becoming a viable alternative to going into a care home. The cost of live in care tends to be cheaper per week, than care home fees. Most importantly care and support is given in the person’s own home. Our live in service is for adults with varying needs of dependence and care needs.
What is Live-in care?
Live in care is a home care service where a carer or carers live with the person receiving care in the familiarity of their own home. Every person will have different care and support needs along with their own preferences in how they spend their time day-to-day. For this reason, every live-in care package is person centred according to the needs and wishes of the individual.
Ways in which a live-in carer can support you at home:
- Personal care: help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, using the toilet and grooming
- Medication management: Support with taking medication correctly and on time
- Meal preparation: cooking healthy meals and assisting with feeding if necessary
- Household chores: help with housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Companionship: providing emotional support, companionship, promoting social interactions and social outings
- Mobility assistance: helping the individual move around their home safely and assisting with any physical exercises or physiotherapy routines.
- Getting out and about: A live-in carer can accompany you on outings, be it popping to the shops, visiting a friend or going out for a meal.
Live in – Respite Care:
Respite care is a way for people caring for family members to take a small break. Caring can be a difficult or exhausting experience for many people, and engaging respite carers can provide the much-needed opportunity to recharge batteries.
